Freo, as a Rabobank subsidiary, provides loans to Dutch consumers. In this setting, Freo faces increased regulation, increasing customer expectations and increased market pressure to reduce prices. To faces these challenges, Freo invests heavily in the digitization of the complex process of consumer credit approval. In this talk, Sander Janssen & Chantal van Kruijsdijk will explain how this done and which challenges they encounter.

Daan is a professional in business development, digital transformation and implementation with a strong customer focus. In recent years he has been operating in a complex environment providing identity and signing solutions to businesses in a new and innovative market. He combines open banking, open innovation, payments partnerships, PSD2, digital identity and CRM together. Turning fintech data and non-financial solutions into problem solving in a B2B and B2C market.
Sander Janssen – Head of Digital – Freo
Sander Janssen started his digital career at the online agency Clockwork in Amsterdam, where he works for a variety of clients and brands such as ING, Robeco and Aterdam RAI. Since 2016, Sander has been working at Freo (a Rabobank subsidiary) where he is responsible for all digital customer journeys, digital communication and (IT) systems and from that roles drives further digitization.
Chantal van Kruijsdijk – Product Owner – Freo
Chantal is of origin an Online Marketer, specialized in optimising the user experience. She worked at several financial institutions, like Laser Nederland (now Qander) and coöperatie DELA, where she was also part of the Innovation Lab in the last 2,5 years. She joined Freo in April of 2021 as Product owner of Digital onboarding and the customer login website.
