Arnold Roosendaal

Arnold Roosendaal (PhD, LLM) is a director at Privacy Company with a specific expertise in the field of privacy and identity. Within Privacy Company, he works on several national and international research and consultancy projects. Arnold studied Law & Technology (LLM) at Tilburg University (NL) and obtained a Research Master in Law (LLM MPhil) at Tilburg and Leuven (B) University. In 2013, he defended his PhD on effects on privacy, autonomy, and identity, resulting from being subjected to decisions based on digital representations of individuals.

Arnold has written numerous (inter)national publications and is a well-known speaker and panelist. In 2011, he published a paper on the tracking technologies of Facebook. Before Arnold joined Privacy Company, he worked at TNO in a department on Strategy and Policy for Information Society. He was also a member of the PI.lab (Privacy & Identity lab), a collaboration between TNO, Tilburg University, Radboud University and SIDN, and writes for several expert platforms.
