The past 7 years Marlies has conducted studies and worked on projects related to digital identity and personal data for public and private organisations in the Netherlands (MedMij, eduMIJ, Blauwe Knop, BZK and more). From dedicated user research to strategic analysis of the personal data ecosystem. During this time she has helped build the knowledge base on personal data in the Netherlands and internationally through MyData.
Since the start of 2022 Marlies is productmanager for the Trust & Identity team at SURF where she works primarily on eduID and is a member of the Board of Directors at MyData Global.
