Etienne is a seasoned technologist with 15+ years of software development and architecture experience within the finance sector and identity space. In his current role at Backbase as the Identity Product Architect, he is responsible for leading both identity-focused product architecture and consulting with customers on their implementations of the Backbase Engagement Banking Platform.
Before joining Backbase, Etienne had hands-on implementation roles for one of the biggest banks in Africa within their digital banking division. This is where he had his first taste of the complex relationships between customer journeys and identity. His passion for identity solutions stems from a desire to merge security and customer experience to enhance everyday customer banking.
