Marijn Markus

As a Data Scientist, Marijn not only needs computer knowledge, but also statistics and behavioural science from his Sociology training. Marijn uses this skillset at governments, banks and NGOs to turn data into insights and actions

Marijn learned what this means for human lives during the 2014-2015 Ebola epidemic, when he was active at Giro555. He then contributed to security in his own hometown, Rotterdam, for the National Police.

Since then, Marijn has been working at Capgemini and is involved in everything from document analysis, fraud detection and Artificial Intelligence to predicting the harvest for farmers in Kenya. Marijn also teaches on various stages. Marijn believes in ‘ Doing good with Data.
