MindYourPass has been named the winner of the Digital Identity Innovation Award at IDnext. The company received the award for its innovative Dutch solution focused on the secure, user-friendly, and privacy-focused management of passwords in both professional and personal contexts.

The Digital Identity Innovation Award is presented annually to a solution that helps shape the future of digital identity. Concepts, products, and projects are all eligible. Submissions are evaluated based on innovation (both technological and business), privacy practices, added value for users and stakeholders, and the potential impact of the solution.

This year, the following three initiatives were nominated for the Identity Innovation Award:

MindYourPass (MYP) introduces a new approach to identity management, with simplicity, security, and privacy at its core. MYP generates passwords and authentication credentials on demand without storing sensitive data, while providing organizations with insight into login risks and centralized policies for passwords and authentication.

Mobai offers post-quantum secure biometric recognition using Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE). Biometric data is processed in fully encrypted form, ensuring it cannot be compromised, while maintaining high speed (<20 ms), making it suitable for large-scale live deployment.

Veridas, recognized as a Visionary in Identity Verification in the Gartner Magic Quadrant, delivers award-winning solutions for clients such as Europcar, Amazon, and Santander. Its AI-driven fraud detection includes ID verification, biometric and liveness checks, and synthetic voice detection.

The jury, consisting of Maarten Bevers, Elly Plooy, and Peter Hoogendoorn, selected MindYourPass as the winner. According to the award committee: “MindYourPass demonstrates that password security does not necessarily need to become more complex, but rather fundamentally different. That is exactly the kind of innovation the industry needs.”

Previous winners of the Digital Identity Innovation Award include the OpenID Foundation, eHerkenning, Ziggur, Asignio, Trulioo, and DuckDuckGoose. The award was presented yesterday during the Identity Innovation Award ceremony. The event brought together industry professionals for an evening focused on insights, connection, and recognition, and was co-organized with Heliview.
