Paris Golab is a dynamic Digital Product Manager specializing in Digital and Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI), with a profound dedication to building technology for positive societal impact and making it accessible to everyone.
She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A) from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto and boasts 10 years of experience as part of founding teams at innovative technology startups. Working at the core of complex problems that required pushing through the status quo, she spearheaded her pursuit towards product development to align her vision for a future where tech empowers every individual equally, incentivizes us to do good, and collectively moves towards a more just, sustainable, and healthy planet for all. Her commitment to nurturing a global community that prioritizes collective well-being over individual interests is at the core of her mission.
In 2020, Paris played a pivotal role in launching the SmarterMarkets™ podcast, a groundbreaking initiative focused on rebuilding markets with smarter technology to catalyze change within often-overlooked systems. SmarterMarkets™ promotes harnessing the power of better technology that underpins improved market-based solutions, all leading to a better world. This project has grown to include iconic and esteemed guests from some of the largest companies worldwide and has garnered tens of thousands in monthly listenership.
Furthering her mission to build #TechForAll, Paris collaborated on the passion project “Freedom Speaks” with Women in Voice AI. This groundbreaking endeavor serves as a voice AI and storytelling platform, highlighting the narratives of influential Iranian women throughout history with the aim of improving text-to-speech (TTS) for the Persian language. Paris is currently engaged in a new project, ZabanZad, also aimed at building robust data sources to enhance AI applications for Persian and other under-represented languages.
