Jolocom, ID4me and iovation have been nominated for the identity innovation Award. The winner - with the best new innovation in the field of digital identity - will be announced at the annual IDnext event in The Hague on 25th September.

Jolocom- .Blockchain on the Move” is a project by Jolocom to enable an ecosystem for self-sovereign identity. The aim is to make citizens the manager & owner of their own data & identity so that individuals can share validated data faster & easier, and always check who has used which data at what time

ID4me - ID4me is a Single Sign-On standard that allows users to get access to multiple sites with a single credential, and enables online providers remove friction from onboarding new customers. Katja Speck (General manager) of nominee ID4me: We are thrilled to being selected as one of the nominees for the identity innovation award as it confirms that our mission of a privacy-friendly login standard is on the right track. Looking at the list of previous winners and their impact within the identity world, we are very honoured. ID4me hopes too to further impact the fabric of the Internet in providing a privacy-friendly single-sign-on solution that gives End-users real choice and portability. At the same time we think we are also solving conversion and verification issues for the organisations that ultimately rely on the end-users’ logins and interaction”

Good digital identity solutions are essential enablers of digital trust. We need solutions that are easy-to-use, privacy friendly, cost efficient and secure. This requires technological and business innovations in the world of the Digital Identity. With this award - IDnext recognize and support new innovations that will shape the future of digital identities. An award committee consisting of Mieke van Heeswijk, Leo van Koppen, Liesbet van Zoonen, Baradwaj Pulgundla, Michael Jones and Phoebe Tickell judges the submissions.

The award ceremony is part of the annual IDnext event. The annual IDnext Event is taking place on 25-26 September and is Europe's leading independent, interdisciplinary conference for experts and key players in the world of digital identification. From 2019, SIDN and the IDnext organisation will co-host the two-day event devoted to internet security, privacy, trust and digital identities.

This year the event will take place on 25-26th September at The Hague Conference center in The Hague, organized by the IDnextplatform, which focuses on ‘Trust in digital technology will be the Internet’s next Frontier’.
