Who is Amelia Andersdotter and what do you do in daily life?
I've been a Member of the European Parliament in the 7th term and worked, topically, on digital rights and competitive digital market issues. I run an NGO in Sweden for data protection concerns. Data protection has been out of focus in the Swedish national debate for almost 30 years, so it's a great challenge for the country with the new EU rules. Together with my partners I hope to make it more spiritually, technologically and legally accessible for individuals and, lately, municipal website designers.
On Friday 23 September we’ll host the IDnext golf tournament for the third time.
Since the first two tournaments were highly appreciated by all participants, we organize another golf day this year. In the afternoon of Friday 23 September, the IDnext golf day will take place at Rijswijkse golf.
Whitehall media (a partner of IDnext) organized its second IDM Europe conference for thought leaders, practitioners and IAM specialist across Europe to discuss the infrastructural challenges and opportunities associated with managing and securing identity within the organization. The IAM sector is poised for major growth as businesses of all sizes look to develop strategies that are aligned to their business needs, but also consider people, processes and technology. Watch the highlights of this event!
IDnext, EEMA and TDL are inviting contributions to present at the Trust in the Digital World Conference. This year, the conference will consider the business impact of disruptive technologies,, focussing on European public and private trust related to cybersecurity, privacy, identity and cloud.

How digital identity can change daily life
Last week, I had to renew my passport. I had to go to my town hall to submit a passport application and then had to wait a week to receive it. I thought to myself: what a fuss and waste of time! To renew my passport, it would be better if I lived in Dubai.
Recap IDnext Golf Event
Once again, the 2nd IDnext golf event took place on the Bentwoud golf course, on Friday 26 June, a beautiful day. And we are looking back on a successful day. Nearly all participants gave us feedback, saying they had considered it to be great fun as well as really useful.
if you enjoy playing golf, if you have the time and the inclination to spend Friday afternoon 22 September on the golf course and if you work with identity related subjects, do register for this fun event.
What’s the .nl-registry got to do with IDnext? Why would SIDN be interested in digital identities? To me this is a no-brainer, but in the IDnext community it often triggers intriguing questions.
Scrap passwords. But then what? How can you prove that you are the legitimate user of a digital identity if you do not use a password?
It should be a simple question; the two words give you a big hint on where definition should end up. It is a user and quite obviously this user got one or a sum of privileges to do “important stuff”, but so I’m asking you: are you a privileged user?
This is a recap of the Masterclass Digital identities: overview and developments in the Netherlands and Europe that took place on 16th December. This masterclass was initiated by the IDnext platform and organized in close collaboration with InnoValor.
About 540 people in the Netherlands are the victim of identity fraud every day and identity fraud has become the fastest growing criminal activity. Just a couple of years ago I thought that it only happened to naïve and careless people. Now I know that this is not the case.
